The Royal Tank Regiment Riders was created in Early 2020.
The aim was to provide a motorcycle riding group for both veteran and serving members of the Royal Tank Regiment and those attached such as REME.
Our membership consists of those who served in 1RTR, 2RTR, 3RTR, 4RTR Prior to amalgamations, through to members of the remaining Royal Tank Regiment (RTR) post amalgamations.
We plan events to attend which involve nationwide and European remembrance events to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice so we could all have our today.
The ceremonies consist of laying wreaths and holding a service . Ceremonies we attend, are not only in the UK but also in Belgium around the Ypres area, France around the Somme and the more recent D-Day operation in Normandy, to name a few.
Our members undertake various charity events, weather its completing a 56 mile run for Bone Cancer , hike for BLESMA or motorbike ride to support the air ambulance organisations located around the country, in addition Paintings, coins, pin badges, patches and strickers are produced for sale with all proceeds going to nominated charities one being Scotty's Little Soldiers a charity set up After Cpl Scott 2RTR was killed in action in Afghanistan, the charity is for helping bereaved children of serving soldiers killed in action.

On the 6th July 2025 The Royal Tank Regiment Riders Group (RTR Riders) reached a milestone the 5th Anniversary as a group.
The group has been a little quiet of late, just required time out to recuperate from a Annus horribilis and the turmoil's due to hostile actions from former members of this group.
However "Fear Naught" the charity work and organised ride outs will continue in Ernest in 2026.

Starting July 2024, being the founder of this group I was in talks with The Royal Tank Regiment to start the first RTRA Association Riders Branch, The talks were successful and in October 2024 the Royal Tank Regiment Riders Association Riders Branch was formed based on our group.
This was short lived as founder of the new association, a few former members of the group felt they should do a better job after the association was formed, the period was eye opening with months/weeks of numerous vile phone calls, texts, general backstabbing, didn't expect that behaviour from supposed brothers of the RTR.
Our group separated itself from the Royal Tank Regiment Association Riders Branch to retain our unique Group status. The Association designed their badge to look very similar to our original badge. so please do not get confused between the two.
Moving forward , the group will be retaining our back patches that we have had since day one, and continue to organise ride outs and to promote the regiment in a positive light. We hope that you still follow our adventures and charity work.

Members of the Royal Tank Regiment Riders attended the Ride To The Wall at the National Memorial Arboritum this weekend 5th October 2024. Fran Chandler, mother of a fallen brother Mathew (Hattie) Hatfield was given the honour of laying the Riders Branch wreath.
Cpl Matt (Hattie) Hatifeld lost his life on the Castlemartin Ranges in 2017.
Our members travelled across the nation to attend, good work lads.
The reports are the RTTW was yet another very emotional event for all who attended.

The Royal Tank Regiment Riders are pleased to announce that we will be attending the D-Day 80th Anniversary Celebrations at the British Normandy Memorial located in Ver-Sur-Mer, Normandy, France. On 6th June 2024, The Royal Tank Regiment Riders will be attending the Royal British Legion's main televised event taking place in the morning.
On the afternoon of the 6th June 2024, we have been afforded the prestigious honour of attending as Guard of Honour for the Marie (Mayoress), the prefecture and community of Ver-Sur-Mer, our piper will pipe open and close this personal ceremony. We are truely honoured and humbled by the invitation and look forward to personally meeting the Marie and community of Ver-Sur-Mer and to form a lasting bond of friendship between the community of Ver-Sur-Mer and the Royal Tank Regiment family.
A few members of the Royal Tank Regiment Riders attended and spent the weekend at RAF Shawbury air base this weekend 10th to 12th June 2024. Our hosts stationed there accommodated us in the Warrant Officers & Sergeants Mess. The welcome we received was just amazing, with the RAF being truly exceptional hosts.
The Tri-Service co-operation and friendships between all service personnel and veterans of the Royal Tank Regiment and the RAF personnel stationed at the Air base, was both enjoyable and a real pleasure to witness. The accommodation was first class and the food really tasty. Our visit, and pictures will also be published into the RAF Shawbury Aries Magazine, a bit like our Tank magazine, the visit will promote closer friendships within the military family.
During our stay we visited RAF Cosford and had a walk through the museum visiting the cold war era artefacts, a very interesting place they have some armoured vehicles, Tanks and recce vehicles.
We also had a personal tour of the AMSU hangar at RAF Shawbury with all of us having the opportunity to sit in a Red Arrow aircraft and have a photo taken. The cockpit has a million and one switches, dials and turny things, it was really interesting, we also were blessed to view the Typhoon fighter plane, wow what an amazing aircraft.
In the evening we socialised with all serving personnel in the mess bar and a great night was had by all.
